One gimmick the gameplay has is a double. The skating in Skatebird is a lot more basic, with only a few tricks available for the bird to perform.

There's no tutorial, I got a tool tip on how to do an ollie, after that I was pretty much on my own. Gameplay: I can't really draw a comparison to other skateboarding games since I've barely played any, but for me as a beginner it wasn't exactly fun. The bird characters themselves look wonderfully daft in their various selectable. Same for the animations, which are limited. The story that plays out is, of course, absurd but SkateBIRD knows how silly it is and delivers it with charm.
